“Free the child’s potential, and you will transform him into the world” - Maria Montessori

Curriculum

We believe that pre-school should be more than just a daycare, it is the start of your child’s education, preparation for school and the foundation for a healthy lifestyle. Montessori classrooms are peaceful, happy places designed to meet the developmental needs of each child in every stage of life. They contain many places for children to learn and play, in many different ways: by themselves, in pairs, in small groups, in large groups, inside, outside, at tables, on the floor.

Practical Life

Practical means basic, useful, purposeful
Life means the way of living.

Practical life Exercises are just that, they are Exercises so the child can learn how to do living activities in a purposeful way.

Sensorial

Sensorial comes from the words sense or senses. As there are no new experiences for the child to take from the Sensorial work, the child is able to concentrate on the refinement of all his senses, from visual to stereognostic.

Mathematics

Children are surrounded by numbers. “How old are you?” “Your birthday is the 3rd of December ”. The Montessori math’s materials help the child to develop the ability to discriminate and to recognize patterns.

Language

Language is a system of symbols with an agreed upon meaning that is used by a group of people. Language is a means of communication ideas or feelings by the use of conventionalized sounds and signs, thus, being the spoken and written language.

Nutrition.

All children will have a snack at 10:30am, which they bring from home. Hot meals are served to all children at 12:15pm. The meals are prepared by a company called Little Dinners.  Since Spring 2000, Little Dinners have been providing schools and créches with tasty children's meals, prepared to the highest nutritional and food safety standards.
